Timothy Palumbo

About me

I earned my MAT in Secondary English Education at Stony Brook University, my BA in English Textual Studies from Syracuse University.

My attraction to literary theory drove my studies in my undergraduate work. Later, it was my interest in sharing this experience that encouraged me to pursue my MA in Secondary English Education. While engaged in my graduate work, I also contributed to reading guides and textbooks for several major educational publishing companies. This was academically satisfying, but lacked the sense of engagement that in-class instruction offers. Currently, I teach at SchoolNova and Stimson Middle School in Huntington Station, NY.

Throughout every facet of my career my goal has been to help students frame a rational argument in both speech and writing. This skill transcends the English class and helps students to operate in all professional and academic settings, combining scholarly instruction and professional preparation.
