About me
Hi there! My name is Valentina Pogudina. I was studying Mathematics at Moscow State University and later transferred to Stony Brook University to complete my degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. Besides college experience, I have been volunteering as a counselor at YMCA youth camps working with middle school students. Here at Stony Brook University, I gained experience running recitations in a small class environment for freshmen students serving as a Teaching Assistant.
In 2018/2019 academic year, I have also been a Teaching Assistant at SchoolNova helping for Mathematics classes for 5th-grade students. On top of that, I am a mom to two beautiful girls of one and six year olds and the oldest is also a student at SchoolNova. I truly believe that Mathematics is fun and I strive to help kids to learn it by sparking their interest in such a wonderful subject!
