Description:
This is the sixth (6) year in the sequence of the mathematical courses offered by SchoolNova. We will study algebraic expressions, linear equations, and word problems leading to them, absolute values, powers, and square roots, and discuss rational and irrational numbers during this year. Finally, we will discuss the basics of probability and geometry. In addition, as usual, we will also solve many interesting problems from all areas of mathematics. However, the main emphasis will be on teaching students to solve problems that require some knowledge of basic topics and are not straightforward exercises but require some creativity. The handouts containing the assignments and sometimes the basic theory will be given to each class. In addition, each student will need a binder, notebook, and pencil.
