Winter 2021 Financial Agreement

THIS CONTRACT is by and between SchoolNova at Stony Brook (SchoolNova) and the below signed Parent/Guardian (Parents). SchoolNova at Stony Brook is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization setting each year’s budget on student contracted for that year. An integral part of maintaining that budget is the timely receipt of tuition and fees.To accomplish this goal, SchoolNova at Stony Brook has adopted the tuition payment policy specified below.

This policy will be strictly adhered to and enforced by the School's administration. The financial agreement is a document explaining the financial obligations for a registration and enrollment. Tuition is a one time fee and no payment plan is available.

Tuition And Fees:

Registration Fee: There is no Registration Fee

Administration Fee: There is no Administration Fee

Material Fee: The students will be responsible for buying their supplies if required for the class they attend. Their teacher will provide a list of supplies. If some supplies are purchased by a teacher and mailed to the students, the amount spent will be added as Material Fee to students' account balance and expected to be paid during the registration process. If  additional materials are  purchased for students by a teacher later during the session, the balance  will be expected to be paid within one week from the time it is posted on students' accounts.

Tuition: The tuition will be calculated for the entire 6-weeks course, based on the following:  $22 per each 45-minute weekly lesson, $29  per each 60-minute weekly lesson, $40 per each 90-minute weekly lesson, and $49 per each 120-minute weekly lesson. The tuition for workshops taught by SchoolNova student-teachers will be adjusted to reflect a 10% discount.  Full tuition should be paid once for the entire 6-week session and is due on January 28th, 2021. The registration process cannot be completed until the tuition is paid and no student will be admitted to the Winter 2021 workshops  until the payment is processed.  

Methods of Payment: You can pay tuition and fees using  PayPal on our website www.schoolnova.org. You do not need to have a PayPal account in order to pay via PayPal.

 

Discounts:

Siblings discount: if a family has two children, a 10% sibling discount is taken off tuition for the second child (the student enrolled in the highest grade level within SchoolNova is considered the first child). For families with three or more children, each child gets a 10% discount. For the discount to apply, all children must be legal dependents of the same parent(s)/legal guardian and all children should have an active enrollment in at least one summer course.

Course discount: If your child takes three or more courses, a 10% discount will be applied to the total balance. Both discounts can be combined.

Student-teacher workshop discount:  If your child takes one or more workshops taught by our student- teachers a 10% discount will be applied to the price of each of these workshops.

 

Refunds:

  1. Students registered for a course may get a full refund if they drop the course before 11:59 pm on January 29th (which is one day after the end of the registration). To drop a course parents should either write a comment in the student’s profile page or send an email with a request to schoolnova_workshops@schoolnova.org.
  2. If a student decides to drop a course after the first lesson, no refund will be issued for the remainder of the lessons.
  3. If a student misses one or more lesson, no partial refunds will be issued.
  4. Credits toward regular SchoolNova classes will be issued at the discretion of the administration on a pro-rated basis if a child could not attend lessons due to unforeseen circumstances. 

 

Joining in the middle of the session:

If a student joins the school in the middle of the winter session, the tuition will be pro-rated accordingly, based on the remaining number of lessons.
