About me

I am a mathematician working in industry, as well as a visiting professor at ICTS Bangalore (India), and a visiting research scholar at Stony Brook. I received my bachelors degrees from MIT in Math, Physics, and Computer Science in 2002, and my Phd in Mathematics from Harvard University in 2006. After a short postdoc at Microsoft Research, I was on the faculty at MIT until 2014, working on number theory, algebraic geometry, discrete geometry, and combinatorics. I am broadly interested in science and education. Apart from undergraduate teaching while in academia, I taught younger students mathematics at the Boston Math Circle and at the PROMYS camp for high schoolers. I have two young children who enjoy attending SchoolNova, and I am excited to teach math to the enthusiastic and talented students here!
