About me

My name is Taya Podvorchan, and I am an undergraduate student at Stony Brook University, majoring in psychology and minoring in Russian studies.

I was lucky enough to graduate from a NYC specialized high school, where my teachers brought forth a myriad of opportunities and helped every student reach their full potential. Their dedication and passion was not forgotten: throughout my academic career,

I have enjoyed various teaching positions, whether it is coaching nationally ranked gymnasts back home or helping out in introducing mathematical concepts to young children here at SchoolNova. My favorite part about teaching is the moment when a child truly grasps something new - the thrill and joy is unmatched! This will be my second year at SchoolNova, and my first year teaching. I am so excited to get to know you all!
