About me

I graduated from the University of Chicago in 2011 with a degree in Mathematics and Physics. I received my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University in 2017. Currently, I am an assistant professor in the Mathematics department of Stony Brook University. My research interests include fluid dynamics, turbulence theory, and dynamical systems.

I began teaching at SchoolNova in September 2022. I believe early education in science and mathematics should, in part, be inquiry-based; students should learn mathematics by doing "research" at their (any) level. In this way, students can "discover" pieces of mathematics for themselves.
