About me

Hola, my name is Carmen Genao, I am a Spanish native speaker with more than fifteen years of experience as a Spanish teacher. I graduated in 2006 from Stony Brook University with a Master's Degree in Spanish literature and education. I currently teach Spanish at Comsewogue High School.

I am very excited to teach at SchoolNova, and I am looking forward to teaching and developing language skills with you. Learning a foreign language is fun, and it provides many benefits. It is not just about listening, speaking, reading, and writing, but also about gaining knowledge and understanding different cultures and their customs. One of my main goals is to make students feel comfortable using Spanish and at the same time have fun and fall in love with the Spanish language.
