Karen DeMaio


About me

Karen DeMaio is a New York State certified Secondary Mathematics Teacher with more than 20 years classroom experience. In addition to teaching all secondary levels of mathematics, Mrs. DeMaio served as an adjunct professor with Syracuse University, bringing Calculus to high school students. Mrs. DeMaio has her Master of Science in Education from Dowling College and is currently pursuing a post-graduate degree in Educational District Leadership at Stony Brook University. Her education extends beyond her degrees, with continuous hours of professional development in all studies related to advancing her craft as a teacher. Mrs. DeMaio believes in the value of education and strives to encourage a love of learning in her students. Mrs. DeMaio also believes in the value of hard work, challenging students with thorough study of complex mathematical concepts.
