Tuition and Fees

Tuition: 

In the 2026-2027 school year, the cost of tuition is:

• 45-minute class: $27/class
• 60-minute class: $32/class
• 90-minute class: $50/class

Information about tuition amount for the academic year and all applicable fees can be found in the family’s online account, which is created by each family at the time of registration.

Tuition Payment

SchoolNova provides two payment options for tuition:

1. One-time Payment: This option requires a single payment for the entire academic year (consisting of 28–30 days of classes). In 2026-2027, we plan to have 29 weeks.

2. Pay-by-Quarter Plan: Our school offers families the choice to pay tuition in three installments throughout the year. Under this plan, each quarter's tuition is paid separately and is due by the end of the third week of that quarter. When selecting this option, an enrollment deposit is collected along with the first payment, which will be credited towards the final payment of the year.

    

Fees and Deposit:

• Application fee: Per Student (Non-Refundable). Please note that a $50 Application Fee per student must be paid at the time of a new student's registration. This one-time fee guarantees your child a place in our program. However, the fee is non-refundable if you withdraw your child for any reason. Returning students who reactivate their family accounts during the Priority Registration period are exempt from this fee.

• Program fee: Per family, collected only once a year (Non-Refundable). The fee is non-refundable and must be paid by all returning and new students along with the 1st tuition payment. 

  The Program Fee supports student services provided outside the classroom that are not covered by tuition. These services include placement testing and interviews, transcript preparation, recommendation letters, curriculum verification for schools, documentation for grade acceleration, and support for applications to private schools, summer programs, honor societies, and colleges.

  • $35 from families with one child and
  • $50 from families with two or more children.
• Material Fee: Per student (Non-Refundable). The Material Fee is a non-refundable annual fee charged for some classes. It covers books, printed class materials, homework and classwork packets, educational supplies, art materials, and other instructional resources used throughout the school year.

The fee varies by class based on anticipated annual expenses and is due with the first tuition payment. Some classes may require additional materials. If applicable, teachers will notify families at the beginning of the school year.

Enrollment Deposit

The Enrollment Deposit is collected once per year from families choosing the Pay-by-Quarter Plan. It is credited toward the final tuition payment when:

1. The student remains enrolled through the end of the school year.
2. All tuition and fees are paid on time throughout the year.

Families who incur Late Payment Fees twice during the school year because payments are received more than three weeks after the due date forfeit the Enrollment Deposit.

Enrollment Deposit amounts are:

• $90 for families with one child
• $180 for families with two children
• $270 for families with three or more children

Late Fees: Tuition and fees are due according to the published Tuition Payment Calendar. Reminder emails are sent before each collection period and before the payment deadline.

Payment Methods

You can pay tuition and fees using one of the following methods:

1. Zelle®. SchoolNova at Stony Brook is accepting Zelle payments - the most efficient method of payment without incurring additional expenses.

• Access Zelle through your online bank account, in your mobile banking app, or using your Zelle app.
• Enter SchoolNova at Stony Brook as a recipient with a primary email payments@schoolnova.org.
• Enter the amount and your Family ID number in a memo field. Your Family ID number can be found in your account profile 

2. Personal checks. The checks can be mailed via regular mail. To use online banking, add us to your list of Payees under the following address:

Please include your Family ID number as an account number or as a memo. Your family ID number can be found in your account profile (in the “Contact Info” section).

3. PayPal. PayPal payment button can be found in your account profile under the Balance table. You can use most major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, to make PayPal payments. You don't need to have a PayPal account or PayPal Credit.

Missed classes policy

SchoolNova does not designate missed classes as excused, and tuition is not refunded for missed classes. If a student will miss class, parents are asked to notify the teacher in advance whenever possible. Advance notice helps the teacher plan the lesson effectively and avoid printing materials that will not be used.

Families experiencing extraordinary circumstances, such as relocation or long-term illness, may contact the SchoolNova Principal at director@schoolnova.org to discuss their situation. Requests are handled confidentially.

Participation in other academic or athletic activities, family leisure travel, visits with relatives, celebrations, and similar events are not considered extraordinary circumstances.
