Hello! My name is Nadya, and I have been teaching at SchoolNova since 2005. It has been my professional home for more than twenty years, and I still feel as excited about teaching today as I did when I started. 

I believe that every child can learn to speak and read Russian. The key is to give children the time, encouragement, and confidence they need, while working with parents to make learning both meaningful and enjoyable. 

For each of my classes, I have developed a carefully structured curriculum in which every lesson and homework assignment builds on the previous one. Throughout the year, we move step by step from simple concepts to more advanced skills. Just as importantly, children learn how to learn. My classes are active and engaging rather than entertainment-based. We read, talk, solve problems, play educational board games and movement games, and discover the language through meaningful activities. 

Over the years, teaching has taught me an important lesson: children—and adults—should never be asked to do what they are not yet ready for. My goal is not simply to teach Russian, but to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and help every child enjoy the learning process. Together with parents, I strive to help children overcome the fear of learning a new language and begin a journey that is both exciting and rewarding. 

At SchoolNova, I teach the developmental program for children ages 3–4, the early reading program for children ages 4–5, Introduction to the Russian Language, and a children’s theater class. 

Beyond the classroom, I directed the children’s theater studio Dragonfly for many years. Since 2005, we have produced more than twenty plays, and dozens of Russian-speaking children have taken part in our productions. Many of them have continued to value and use the Russian language long after graduating from college. Today, I bring that same love of creativity and storytelling into my theater class, where language comes alive through imagination, collaboration, and performance.

Здравствуйте! Меня зовут Надя и я работаю в SchoolNova с 2005 года. Это мой самый длинный профессиональный путь.

Каждый ребенок, который приходит в класс, может научиться говорить и читать по-русски, но нужно время, усилия и желание, как родителей,  так и ученика, чтобы этот процесс был быстрым, интересным и творческим. 

Для каждого из классов я разработала последовательную программу уроков и домашних заданий, которые дополняют друг друга. Мы двигаемся от простого к сложному в течение года. Вместе мы учимся учиться. Я не развлекаю, уроки насыщенные, но стараюсь делать их нескучными. Задания, обсуждения, настольные и подвижные игры. 

Работа в школе научила меня не ставить перед детьми и взрослыми невыполнимых задач. Не научить, а заинтересовать и увлечь. Моя цель — помочь детям полюбить учиться, вместе со мной и родителями преодолеть страх перед изучением русского языка,  и начать этот интересный путь.

 В SchoolNova я преподаю развивающую программу для детей 3-4 лет, обучение чтению детей 4 - 5 лет, введение в русский язык, а также театральный класс.

 Помимо преподавания в SchoolNova, я руководила детской театральной студией «Стрекоза», в которой с 2005 года мы поставили больше 20 спектаклей. Через нашу студию прошли десятки русскоязычных ребят, многие из которых сохранили интерес к русскому языку и после выпуска из университета. Эти традиции, как и небольшие постановки, воплощаются в театральном классе.
