Description:
The Advanced Physics Club is a free program for high school students in grades 9–12 who know basic physics and enjoy solving challenging problems. Students prepare assigned problems before each meeting and present and discuss their solutions during the club, guided by instructors experienced in physics Olympiads, including former International Physics Olympiad participants. We emphasize clear reasoning, dimensional analysis, limiting cases, and effective problem-solving strategies. The first semester focuses primarily on mechanics and preparation for the F=ma exam. Later meetings explore selected topics from other areas of physics and include preparation for PhysicsBowl. Problems range from accessible exercises to challenging Olympiad-level problems. Weekly problem sets, announcements, and study resources will be posted below. Participation is free of charge. For more information, contact the club organizers at apc@schoolnova.org.
