TA application

Who can be a TA at SchoolNova?

Requirements:

Rising 10th grader

Completed the highest level of the subject of interest at SN. (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Languages)

Recommended by two SchoolNova teachers. The names should be indicated in the application.

Students will be accepted to TA program on a competitive basis. What will be considered?
• Years at SchoolNova
• Feedback from teachers
• Participation in Competitions
• Skills, e.g. design, web design, web programming, experience working with young children, math games, events organizing, etc.

• Applications are currently accepted. The deadline is July 1st, 2022

SchoolNova Teacher Assistant program offers a unique opportunity to participate in the education process and share your passion and love for subjects with youngsters. The program was established in 2013 with only one TA. Today, teacher assistants help teach class, grade homework, play math games with students, judge math battles and make the lesson smooth and fun. The program expects students to participate in 2 to 4 events during the year, help with SchoolNova events like Math Placement Test, Math Competitions and Festivals, Social events. You must be a 10-th grader in the 2021 - 2022 school year to apply. If you are younger and interested in assisting ShoolNova, the event’s volunteering opportunities will be announced separately. Please inquire from ivashkevych@schoolnova.org. The program also offers a path for college students to become a SchoolNova teacher. Undergraduate students may be offered a teaching position after a year or two of being a TA.
