About me

I have a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University, and a B.S. and an M.S. in Physics from University of Connecticut. I have previously worked at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where I participated in the design and construction phase of the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). I am currently an Assistant Professor of Practice at Stony Brook University teaching courses which include Probability, Random Processes and Machine Learning.

At SchoolNova, I teach Mathematics and initiated a Math Club for elementary school students in Grades 4–6. This is an intense, non-traditional program with topics in probability, codes & ciphers and geometry, creative problem solving, participation in mathematics competitions such as MOEMS and MathCON, and stories of famous mathematicians and their discoveries. I have taught complex mathematical concepts to my two children at a very young age. I feel that teaching children the most advanced concepts that their minds can absorb, captivates their interest in Mathematics.
