This Financial Agreement is entered into between SchoolNova at Stony Brook (“SchoolNova”) and the undersigned parent or legal guardian (“Parent/Guardian”).
SchoolNova is a nonprofit educational organization that relies on timely tuition and fee payments to provide high-quality educational programs for all students. We understand that unexpected financial difficulties may occasionally arise and encourage families to communicate with us as early as possible. Our goal is to work together to keep every student enrolled while ensuring the long-term financial stability of the school.
Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
By signing this agreement, I agree to:
- pay all tuition, fees, deposits, and other charges in accordance with SchoolNova’s current Financial Policies and Tuition Collection Schedule as described in Parent handbook
- make payments by the published deadlines;
- notify the School Principal as soon as possible if I anticipate difficulty making a payment by the due date; and
- pay a $25 returned payment fee for any check or electronic payment returned by my financial institution.
Late Payments
I understand that Late Payment Fees will be assessed in accordance with SchoolNova’s Financial Policies if payment is not received by the published deadline.
If Payments Become Overdue
I understand that failure to meet my financial obligations may result in one or more of the following actions, as described in SchoolNova’s Financial Policies:
- assessment of Late Payment Fees;
- forfeiture of the Enrollment Deposit, when applicable;
- loss of Priority Registration privileges for the following school year;
- suspension of my child’s participation until the account is brought current.
Financial Hardship
SchoolNova recognizes that temporary financial difficulties can occur. Parents who anticipate difficulty meeting a payment deadline are encouraged to contact the School Principal before the due date. Whenever possible, SchoolNova will work with families to establish an appropriate payment arrangement. All financial discussions are handled confidentially. Acknowledgment
By signing, I acknowledge that:
- I have read and understand SchoolNova’s Financial Policies.
- I understand my financial responsibilities as a parent or guardian.
- I agree to comply with SchoolNova’s Financial Policies and Tuition Collection Schedule.
- I understand that timely payment is essential to the operation of SchoolNova and helps ensure that educational programs continue for all students.
