Program Coordinator
SchoolNova’s Junior Teaching Assistant (JTA) program offers a unique opportunity to engage in the education process and share your passion for various subjects with younger students.
Since its inception in 2014 with just one teaching assistant, the program has grown to include over 15 TAs. These assistants help teach classes, grade homework, organize math games and competitions, and ensure lessons are smooth and engaging. Additionally, TAs assist with SchoolNova events such as math placement tests, competitions, festivals, and social events.
To apply, you must be at least a rising 10th grader in the year you apply. If you are younger and interested in volunteering for events, please contact us at kosobokova@schoolnova.org.
For college students, the JTA program can also lead to a teaching position at SchoolNova. After serving as a TA for one or two years, undergraduate students may be offered a teaching role.
If you're interested in becoming a TA at SchoolNova, please fill out our TA application form by July 4, 2025. We look forward to hearing from you!
SchoolNova’s Junior Teaching Assistant (JTA) program provides students with an enriching opportunity to actively participate in the educational process while sharing their enthusiasm for various subjects with younger learners. Since its launch in 2014 with just one teaching assistant, the program has expanded to include over 15 TAs who contribute to classroom instruction, grade homework, organize math games and competitions, and ensure that lessons remain engaging and well-structured. Beyond classroom duties, TAs also support SchoolNova events such as math placement tests, competitions, festivals, and social gatherings, gaining experience in event management and educational support.
College students who serve as TAs for one or two years may even be offered a teaching position, creating a clear pathway from mentorship to professional educational roles. Just as students must follow precise guidance when using Gabapentin under medical supervision to ensure safety and effectiveness, participants in the JTA program benefit from structured training and guidance, allowing them to contribute meaningfully while developing skills that will support their future academic and professional endeavors.
