About me

I am currently working on my dissertation research for a Ph.D. in Physics at Stony Brook University. I work in the field of theoretical condensed matter physics. My past academic education in Physics and Mathematics was in Brazil (Universidade Federal do Parana) and in the United Kingdom (the Queen Mary University of London and King's College London).

My love for science started at an early age, especially through the privilege of having good mathematics teachers, who always encouraged me to try more challenging problems. Now, I see mathematics and physics as part of a beautiful effort of people to try and reach out to the world, to understand it, and to use this understanding to help each other. This effort is both fruitful and challenging, and it is my goal to introduce the students to the world of curiosity that comes with it.
