About me

I have M.Sc. degree in physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. I had to leave my parents’ home in Kharkiv, Ukraine and to spend 6 wonderful years in Moscow. My interests have been always around math and science at school, I remember going to Math and Physics afterschool clubs, public lectures and kids programs at Kharkiv University.

While living in Israel, I taught 9 and 10 year olds Physics and Math in a local Sunday Russian school. But the true appreciation of teaching came after I had my own children. I recalled all wonderful people I met as a child and what a great change they brought to my life. I am a parent of 3 and tremendously valued every Sunday my children spent in School Nova.

I believe that discovery, self-motivation, genuine interest in a subject are the driving forces of success, and that the confidence comes with practice.

This 2021-2022 school year I will be teaching 6-th and 7-th grade math. This is my tenth year of teaching math in School Nova. We will continue building a pyramid of knowledge on already developed concepts in previous grades, making mathematical discoveries through hands on experiments, playing games and solving puzzles.
