About me

I'm Amanda Martocello, and I'm thrilled to be kicking off my fourth year at SchoolNova as an Advanced English and Literature Teacher and Creative Writing Teacher, following two fulfilling years as a substitute with SchoolNova.

My academic foundation includes a BA in English from Stony Brook University (2014) and an MSLIS from Queens College (2021). I've spent the last decade helping students of all ages—from preschoolers to college upperclassmen—discover the magic of writing. Whether it's essay composition, literary analysis, or research skills, my goal is always the same: to help students build confidence in their writing and presentation skills. I truly believe there's a story out there for everyone, and I love helping students find theirs!

In my classroom, active involvement is key. I want my students to inquire, discuss, and really dig into the material. Every student brings something unique to the table, and I am firmly committed to recognizing and nurturing the unique contributions of each student, guiding them to discover personalized learning strategies and embrace their individual strengths.

Let's create some amazing stories together!
