About me

My name is Maria Lekomtseva and I am a recent graduate of Stony Brook University. Throughout my academic journey, my passion for mathematics and teaching continued to prosper. At Stony Brook University I had the privilege of being an undergraduate teaching assistant for an applied mathematics and statistics course which further gave me new perspectives on teaching.

This upcoming school year will be my fourth year at School Nova and my second year teaching. I am looking forward to creating a fun and welcoming environment, all while helping and encouraging students to reach their fullest potential academically as I believe that given the right tools every student is capable of doing so.
